DIRECTIONS

Your GPS, Mapquest or AAA may suggest the Roddy or Sandman Roads off Hwy 27 in our area as a way to get to us.

Please ignore this advice as they are both closed & deadend!

We suggest you print these directions to be safe!

Please note that the " Possum Trot" road sign to our farm at the corner of Hwy 68 in Grandview is very popular with the local collectors and tends to be "borrowed" on a regular basis!  So even though there may not be a sign just turn at the road right near Carole's Country Store in Grandview (same side of the road as her store and across the street from Grandview Baptist Church). If in doubt stop in at Carole's Store and ask... and while you are at it, check out the highly collectible Tennessee Mountain Wood guitars her husband Cliff makes which are on display (bluegrass and country jamming sessions off and on at the store... just check with them for times during your stay)

Front PastureFrom Chattanooga:  take Hwy 27 North to Spring City TN, Turn right at Hwy 68 North and go “up the mountain” towards Crossville.  At the “top of the mountain” take the first right after Carole’s Country Store, which is Possum Trot Road.  Stay to the right for 2.5 miles and turn right at a large grey mailbox marked #2392.  You'll see our sign as you turn down the drive. Drive 1/2 mile down the gravel road (this is an old stagecoach road which has been recently rebuilt) and at the end come to the screen porch entrance at our white farmhouse for check in.  We’ll be happy to see you! If you need to go to the grocery store before you arrive, stop in Dayton at Bi-Lows (just off Hwy 27 to the left) or Walmart (on Hwy 27 on the right) or the Piggly Wiggly in Spring City (near Red Barn Restaurant).

From Knoxville: Take I-40 West towards Nashville.  Take the second Harriman exit which is the “Harriman/Rockwood” exit (not the “Harriman/Midtown” exit) and turn left on Hwy 27.  Go South on Hwy 27 approximately 20 miles until you reach Spring City.  Go through town and turn left on Hwy 68 North towards Crossville.  At the “top of the mountain” you’ll see the Grandview Community sign and just a little further, Carole’s Country Store. Take the next right, which is Possum Trot Road and stay right about 2.5 miles . Turn right at a large grey mailbox marked #2392.  Drive 1/2 mile down the gravel road (this is an old stagecoach road which has been recently rebuilt) and at the end come to the screen porch entrance at our white farmhouse for check in.  We’ll be happy to see you!

From Nashville: 1st Option: Take I-40 east to the third exit in Crossville TN, which is the “Peavine exit”.  Turn right on Peavine Road and go through the first four way stop sign. A few miles later, you’ll reach the first stoplight.  Turn left at the light on Hwy 127 south and you will come to the Homestead Tower Museum in a few miles. Veer left on Hwy 68 (also known as Wassom Memorial Hwy) towards Spring City.  After the historic community of Homestead and the beautiful Grassy Cove farm valley, you will come to Grandview, which is most famous for its Tennessee Flat rock (you’ll see lots of rock!). Continue through Grandview and just past the Little Piney Creek and the large Grandview Baptist brick Cgurch, turn left on Possum Trot Road.  (If you go past Carole’s Country store on Hwy 68 you’ve gone too far.)  Stay right for 2.5 miles on Possum Trot, turn right at a large grey mailbox marked #2392.  Drive 1/2 mile down the gravel road (this is an old stagecoach road which has been recently rebuilt) and at the end come to the screen porch entrance at our white farmhouse for check in.  We’ll be happy to see you!

2nd Option: You can also take the first I-40 exit in Crossville (Jamestown/Pikeville exit) and go towards Pikeville on Hwy 127 South (you'll pass a Super Walmart this way or can detour to Kroegers at West and Hwy 70).  At Homestead Towers Museum veer left on Hwy 68 (also known as Wassom Memorial Hwy) towards Spring City.

If you need to stop at the grocery store coming from Nashville, take the first Crossville exit (Jamestown/Pikeville) and go south on Hwy 127.  Walmart on your left.  Go further and turn right at McDonalds and go to light.  Kroegers in front of you on West Hwy & Hwy 70.
